Mental Health Law

Teece Hodgson & Ward experts are fully familiar with legal aspects of mental health.

Families can come under severe strain when issues of mental health care arise. Ensuring well-being of a family member suffering mental health problems can be difficult at the best of times. Administering their financial needs can add an extra layer of complexity.

Family interests need to be considered in light of rights of the individual concerned. In some cases, it may be necessary to have someone formally appointed as financial guardian of a person who suffers from mental health problems which affect their capacity to manage their own affairs.

Teece Hodgson & Ward has had a long involvement in mental health law. We dependably advise on appropriate and necessary steps, including ensuring proper protection of rights of the individual concerned.
